Tau Ulv Lenskjold

Tau Ulv Lenskjold is a Ph.D. student at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - School of Design, with an educational background in architecture and digital media studies – and a concurrent interest in critical design discourse and emergent technologies. His current research investigates how contemporary speculative design practices engage with political and societal issues, and traces the historical precursors for this development in the history of design. Central to this research is an exploration of design, respectively, as a medium for activist engagement – and design as a particular kind of speculative or critical inquiry by which manifest assumptions and complex paradoxes are articulated and materialized as a resource for debate, and as a means for envisioning alternative futures.
