Todd Murphey

Todd Murphey is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the McCormick School of Engineering and of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences in the Feinberg School of Medicine, both at Northwestern University. He received his Ph.D. in Control and Dynami-cal Systems from the California Institute of Technology. His laboratory is part of the Neuroscience and Robotics Laboratory, and his research interests include robotics, control, computational methods for biomechanical systems, and computational neuroscience. Honors include receiving the National Science Foundation CAREER award in 2006, participating in the National Academy of Engineering inaugural Frontiers of Engineering Education Symposium in 2009, and membership in the 2014-2015 DARPA/IDA Defense Science Study Group. His work has included a collaboration with Disney Imagineering featured at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago.
